The news of the Bajaj Triumph partnership collaboration came up a few days back when these companies joined hands to develop middleweight motorcycles between 400 cc to 800 cc. However, there have been clear indications that they are not working on any 250 cc motorcycle and does not plan to do so in the future as well.

As confirmed by the President of Business Development of Bajaj Auto, the partnership does not include the manufacture of any 250 cc motorcycles. Instead, the motorcycles developed between 400 cc to 800 cc will be sold in India as well as the world.

The official spokesperson from Bajaj said that this partnership has been aimed at developing such unique products that are still missing from the galleries of either. The products will be made with the combination of the iconic heritage of Triumph and the manufacturing efficiency of Bajaj. This does hint at the introduction of classic modern day cruisers and such ranges which take inspiration from the Bonneville series.

This project will help Bajaj to materialise its work towards getting a hand in the mid-capacity cruisers in India. On the other hand, Triumph’s long-standing plans to introduce 250 cc motorcycles will be at bay as it will threaten to gobble up some of the major market space of Bajaj and KTM.

The development of models in this Bajaj-Triumph has commenced. However, it is still not clear if this development will introduce 500 cc motorcycle or a 750 cc motorcycle.
