Bajaj Unveils Pulsar 200SS at Turkey, India Awaits!!

Snapshot: Bajaj Unveils the Pulsar 200SS at Turkey and keeps us waiting!!

No doubt we are reaching a jealousy point now, we adore the pulsars, we really do, but it is just heart breaking to see Turkey and Columbia getting all the real action on the upcoming launch of the eagerly, desperately awaited fully faired Pulsar 200SS. Dear Bajaj, why you keep forgetting we are home!

As we wait with our eyes wide open and as we breath in outmost anticipation, Bajaj has gone ahead and unveiled its first attempt at a sportsbike Turkey. As deduced from the spyshots, the design is a direct carry over from the Pulsar SS 400. Featuring dual projectors and LED DRLs right above them, the Pulsar sports impressive looks. And a wide fuel tank design with a full fairing finished in shiny yellow and matte black gives it a very sporty appeal. Needles to say, these images proves that the new Pulsar in its final avatar looks every bit good as in the previously released spyshots. Apart from the yellow/white combination, the motorcycle will also be available in blue/white and red/white colour combinations.

While the Pulsar awaits to be launched officially for the Indian market, the Colombian market is also quite upbeat on receiving this new 200cc machine. The instrument cluster seems to have migrated from the exiting Pulsar 200 NS, while the rear diamond shaped taillight assembly is completely new and the short stout exhaust also sports a complete redesign.  Once launched in India, the 23.52 PS (23.1 bhp) single-cylinder (similar to the current Pulsar 200 NS) Pulsar 200 SS would go head-to-head with the Hero Karizma R, the Honda CBR250R, the Yamaha R15 and KTM RC200. Although, the Pulsar would get an upper hand as it would feature ABS which the KTM lacks, and would be maintaining a slightly lower price but a premium European feel and more power would play in favour of the RC200.

Dear Bajaj, we understand that you have global aspirations with the faired Pulsar's and we are totally behind you on that regard, we would love to see our Indian manufactures show their worth on the International level and bring proud moments to the country. However, saying that, we are by far the most desperate crowd out there who are waiting for the new Pulsars to come out, Launch them already, will you?
