The Raging Bull, Lamborghini, is expanding very rapidly in global markets as well as the Indian market. With the launch of their latest Supercar, Hurracan, Lamborghini has also announced their expansion plans in India, with a new dealership set to open in the I.T. hub of India, Bangalore, coming November. This will be the third dealership for Lamborghini, with already two functional dealerships in Delhi and Mumbai.
At the launch event of Lamborghini Hurracan, that took place recently, Mr. Pavan Shetty, Head of India Operations, Automobili Lamborghini confirmed that the new dealership will be opened in Bangalore, coming November. He also confirmed that they are getting an overwhelming response from the Indian market.
Mr Pavan Shetty on the launch event, said “The car has been launched worldwide with a difference of one or two months in between. In order that our product becomes easily visible, we did a sneak preview at the beginning of the year. We showed it to a select few customers in three cities in India and it was quite a successful way for interest generation. Now we have bought it to let the customers see it, feel, it, and people can go ahead and see what they want.”
Powered by a 5.2-liter V10 petrol engine, Hurracan produces 602bhp of power and 560Nm of torque, which helps the Supercar to touch the 0-100kmph mark and 0-200kmph mark in mere 3.2 seconds and 9.9 seconds, respectively while clocking a top speed of 325kmph. The car weighs only 1422 kgs, making it one of the best power to weight ratio car in the world. The Hurracan will be available in only two color options in India, a red and a yellow.
Lamborghini Hurracan managed to clock about 1000 bookings in just a month or two of its launch, which are incredible figures by any means. Although Mr. Shetty didn't tell the number of units they are able to book in India, the dealerships seemed quite happy. They also stated that the booking have crossed the limits of the quota set for India.
