Benelli- the Italian motorcycle manufacturer recently announced that the prices of two of its offerings are slashed. The Benelli TNT 300 price got slashed up to Rs 50,000 and the current price stands at Rs 2.99 lakh which was earlier Rs 3.50 lakh. Similarly, the Benelli 302R price saw a reduction of Rs 60,000 taking the current price of the motorcycle to Rs 3.10 lakh from Rs 3.70 lakh. The Italian brand stated that the price drops are achieved due to the reduction of manufacturing costs.
Benelli has started its new innings in India with Hyderabad based Adishwar Auto Ride (Mahavir Group). The motorcycle manufacturer is re-launching all the products and also introduced two new middle-weight adventure tourers - the TRK 502 and the TRK 502X. The price reduction of both the bike will certainly strengthen its position in the respective segment and will benefit the enthusiasts.
Both the bikes are powered by the same inline-twin, liquid-cooled 300 cc motor. The motor sits in a trellis frame and makes 38.2 bhp of peak power at 11,500 rpm and 26.5 Nm of peak torque at 10,000 rpm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are carried by a USD fork at the front and monoshock at the rear. Anchoring department packs twin discs at the front and a single disc at the rear with a dual-channel ABS unit which comes standard on both the Benelli TNT 300 and 302R.
With the new pricing, Benelli TNT 300 will rival the likes of BMW G 310R and the popular KTM 390 Duke. The faired 302R will be up against the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the TVS Apache RR310. The new partnership between Benelli and Adishwar Auto will focus on increasing the dealership network and after-sales service of the motorcycles as these two areas will play the role of a catalyst in driving sales.
