The iconic Italian motorcycle maker is gearing up for the launch of its most affordable quarter-litre TNT in India. According to the reports, the bike is set to be launch on 18th this month. It will be the first single-cylinder motorcycle from Benelli in India and will be sold as a completely knocked down unit. Indian market is revving high with the presence of motorcycle makers from around the globe.
It propels a single-cylinder 250cc engine that delivers 25bhp of maximum power and 22Nm of peak torque. While its power and torque figures are in head to head competition with the KTM’s 200 Duke. India being a very price sensitive market so at the end of the day, it all comes to the pricing that will decide the fate of Benelli’s TNT25. The bike looks promising from the images we have seen so far and being sold as a CKD we hope DSK-Benelli will be able to bring down the price to fare it competitively against its competition. But the question is, will it be cheap enough to beat the heat? As its higher sibling nearly touches the mark of 3 lakh rupees in India. We expect the single cylinder baby TNT to be priced somewhere in between 1.7-1.9 lakh rupees.
