Crewe, U.K based Bentley Motors today introduced a new V8 S version of the Flying Spur sports sedan. Often touted as the most refined V8 performance sedan in the world, The Flying Spur V8 S will be slotted in between the V8 and W12 versions. The V8 S is essentially a more powerful and torquey variant of the V8 Flying Spur.
- Power increased to 528 PS and 680 Nm
- 0-100 kmph in 4.9 seconds, top speed of 306 kmph
- Revised suspension to offer improved body control
- Unique exterior colors and interior trim options
- To make debut at the Geneva Motor Show from 1 to 13 March, 2016
Wolfgang Dürheimer, chairman and chief executive of Bentley Motors, said: "The Flying Spur remains unrivalled in its ability to combine class-leading comfort with remarkable dynamic ability. It's the perfect choice for the customer who wants ultimate refinement as well as an exhilarating, spirited drive."
The new V8 S version of the Flying Spur also receives subtle design changes, including dark and sporting exterior highlights. The V8 S also gets new and exclusive front grille treatment, V8 S badging on the rear haunch, V8 S treadplates and 20" open-spoke painted alloy. If you wish to further enhance the looks, you can add an array of aggressive, dark styling elements like the dark-tint lights (front and rear), black gloss exterior mirror covers and a unique Mulliner 21" black and bright machined six-spoke alloy.
The changes are carried to the cabin too, and match the sporting exterior changes. While the Piano-black wood veneers and a three-spoke sports steering wheel are standard, a knurled gear lever and gear shift paddles add to the driving feel. The V8 S also features the unique and stunning two-tone seats with a contrasting roof centre bow.
Like exteriors, customers can opt for more styling elements to make it even more attractive. The array of exceptional optional features includes a semi-aniline hide option which gives the cabin an even more comfortable, luxurious and natural feel. You can select the contemporary new straight-fluting on the leather seats, and a Mulliner small-diamond quilting pattern inspired from tailored British jacket.
But its the engine which receives the biggest change in the Flying Spur V8 . Bentley has tuned the engine for more power output, which now stands at 528 PS and 680 Nm. This means that the Bentley's renowned 4.0-litre twin-turbo engine now produces an additional 21 PS of power than the V8 engine. The additional power pushes the Flying Spur V8 S from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.9 seconds, 0.3 seconds quicker than the V8 and a top speed of 306 kmph.
