An SUV from the house of Bentley is in the news for quite a some time now. While speculations were high that the SUV will offer best-in-class luxury, the British car manufacturer has recently announced that customers are already queuing up for, what will be the world's most expensive SUV and they are eyeing for a 3000 headstrong sale for this uber-luxurious SUV.
Expected to be launched later this year and favored by the Queen of England, the upcoming SUV has already received an interest from 4000 potential buyers. Wolfgang Duerheimer, head of the Crewe, England-based unit of Volkswagen, said that the SUV will provide the luxury even far from the paved roads and will redefine the segment of luxury SUVs around the globe.
"The Bentley SUV will be the most exclusive, most luxurious and most expensive SUV in the world," Duerheimer told journalists on Wednesday in London, showing a video of the car driving up sand dunes. "The level of luxury will be extraordinary." Part of the larger Volkswagen group, this luxury SUV is a step ahead for the VW's plan to sell 15000 Bentleys per year by 2018.
Bentley outperformed itself last year when they saw a 9% growth rate, selling 11020 units. United States remained the largest contributor to the Bentley's sale with almost every 1 of 3 cars sold around the globe is in the US. China also contributed a lot with almost 25% of total Bentley sales accounted in China, a string 2160 units.
And why will this be the most expensive SUV around the globe? Sources in Bentley say that the SUV could very cross the retailing price of $210,000. Once launched, it will compete against the likes of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, the Mercedes-Benz GL63 AMG and the top-of-the-line Range Rover.
