We have been talking a lot about how downsizing is the next big thing for the car manufacturers. Luxury auto houses are now trying to bridge the gap between the premium and luxury segment to cater to a big audience, which otherwise settled on Skodas and Volkswagens. While Audi initiated the process of entry-level luxury sedans with A3, BMW is ready with their version - the 1-series sedan.
On various occasions, the BMW 1-Series sedan has been caught testing and now it has been spied testing at the famous Nürburgring Nordschleife test track. Based on the UKL platform that underpins Mini Copper and 2-series, not much has been revealed by BMW about the car. Though, one can easily spot dual exhaust, a prominent grille and a sculpted hood.
Once launched, the BMW 1-series sedan will compete against the Mercedes CLA and Audi A3.
