BMW 1-Series M Performance Limited Edition launched in India

BMW India have rolled out a limited edition model of its entry-level luxury hatchback, the 1-Series in the country this week. Tagged as BMW 1-Series M Performance Edition, the model will be limited to only 111 units across the country. According to reports, the sales and deliverers of the said limited-run model have already begun across BMW showrooms in the country.

Based on the regular 1-Series hatchback, the new M Performance Limited Edition model gets new sportier front and rear bumpers, blackened front grille, side skirts, rear spoilers with fins, body stripes, new alloys and the M Performance lettering. The mechanical bits remain unchanged. This means that the Limited Edition model will continue to be served by the familiar 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, twin-power turbo engine that is rated at 145PS and 320Nm. With those power output numbers, the 0 to 100 kmph mark is reached in 8.6 seconds. ARAI claimed fuel efficiency figure stands at 20.58 kmpl.

It is reported that the asking price of 1-Series M Performance Limited Edition model is said to be an additional Rs 2.45 lakh over the regular 1-Series. Also, according to a company dealer, the BMW 1-Series M Performance Limited Edition can be had at an EMI of Rs 19,999 and with trade benefit of Rs 50,000. The aforementioned offer will be valid only until 25th July 2014.
