BMW launched the 6 Series Gran Turismo in Bengaluru at Rs 58.90 lakh (Ex Showroom) and was unveiled by Mr. Navnit Kachalia, Dealer Principal, Navnit Motors and Mr. Andreas Hattenhorst, Director, Aftersales, BMW Group India. The 6 Series GT also made its presence at the Auto Expo 2018. The Gran Turismo is locally-produced petrol variant - the BMW 630i Gran Turismo Sport Line, and can be booked at Navnit Motors, Bengaluru from today onwards, whereas the diesel variant will be launched later in 2018.

Speaking on this, Mr. Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India said, “The truly distinctive first-ever BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo demonstrates an exclusive stand-alone concept invented by BMW that makes a striking statement wherever it goes. It combines an exceptionally spacious interior with maximum comfort, without compromising on its trademark driving pleasure. And it presents a design that perfectly balances out dynamics and aesthetics. With so much uniqueness and confident elegance, every moment is a source of joy and every sense rewarded. The longest journey is just short enough in the first-ever BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo.”

Mr. Navnit Kachalia, Dealer Principal, Navnit Motors said, “For over a decade, Navnit Motors has served its premium clientele with the best luxury experience. Founder of its genre, it is a truly discerning vehicle for discerning customers who stand out from the crowd, who make their own path and who not only reach success but stand at its pinnacle. We are confident that the BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo will create a new segment and will allow us to further tap the growing luxury car market potential in Bengaluru.”

The interior of the 6 Series GT will welcome you with an accomplished balance of dynamic driver-orientation and luxurious comfort. The rear compartment provides three comfortable, full-sized seats with generous legroom and headroom. It comes equipped with some features like BMW Gesture Control, extensive range of BMW ConnectedDrive systems like the Multifunctional Instrument Display, BMW iDrive, including touch controller, 10.25 inch touch screen infotainment system with BMW Navigation Professional, Apple Car Play, Park Distance Control, BMW Apps and Connectivity through Bluetooth and USB. What also will add more to its rear row is the 10.2 inch Rear-Seat Entertainment system, which is behind the front-seat backrests, a BluRay player, HDMI connection for mobiles, as well as various connections for MP3 players and game consoles.

People who are looking more space with comfort and not to for sheer driving quality that’s within BMW’s DNA can opt for this one. It comes with air-suspension enhancing comfort, but variable damping will also keep it a keen driver’s car, which is a BMW signature. It is a slick looking thing but is also bulky so engineers had to work on aero improvements. An automatic spoiler rises at the back when you drive beyond 120kmph aiding down force pressing the car down on the road. Efficient clean burning engines and quick shifting transmission makes it an ideal family car for regular city use or a longer journey with lots of luggage with its 610l boot space. Just in case you’re moving a big piece of furniture, rear seats fold electrically to give you humongous space.

Mechanically, the BMW 630i is power-packed with a 2.0-litre petrol engine that cranks out 255bhp of maximum power with a top torque of 400 Nm at 1,550 – 4,400 rpm. Comes paired with a 8-speed Steptronic Sport Automatic Transmission and hit 0 – 100kmph in just 6.3 seconds. It comes with a BMW Driving Experience Control that enables the driver to choose different driving modes as per driving conditions - Sport, Comfort, Comfort+ Eco Pro and Adaptive.

For safety, it comes loaded with features like six air bags, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with brake assist, Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Side-impact Protection, Runflat tyres (RFT) with reinforced sidewalls, electronic vehicle immobiliser, crash sensor and emergency spare wheel.
