BMW 7-Series Signature launched in India at Rs 1.22 crore

Germany luxury carmaker BMW have rolled out the all-new BMW 7-Series Signature in the Indian market today with prices starting at Rs 1.22 crore (ex-showroom, India.) The model was unveiled at the BMW India Bridal Fashion Week 2014 and was presented by one of the well known fashion designer, Suneet Varma. 

Differentiating the 7-Series Signature model from the regular 7-Series are a range of special features such as the Bang & Olufsen high-end surround sound system, Integral Active Steering, extended wood trim, exclusive Nappa leather upholstery, BMW Individual rear reading lights and a 13-litre cool box. The model is now being offered on sale across all BMW showrooms in India and is available only with the diesel variant (730Ld). 

Under the hood, is a 3.0-litre diesel powerplant that is able to churn out 190PS of max power and 560Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to an 8-Speed Steptronic transmission and the 0 to 100 kmph mark is reached in 6.2 seconds. 

Commenting on the launch of the new 7-Series Signature, Philipp von Sahr, president of BMW Group India said, “Each BMW 7-Series Signature is a like a piece of hand-writing - an assertion of personal style. It makes a compellingly imdividual statement and its unique character is seen in every detail from the wealth of equipment, luxurious materials and sophisticated colours. The new BMW 7-Series Signature is undoubtedly, the most exclusive way to drive a BMW .”
