BMW Concept Roadster looks nothing less than a beast

The 2014 edition of world famous Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este motoring event has been happening in Italy where BMW Motorrad made its presence with their 'Concept Roadster'. Last year, BMW Motorrad unveiled its Concept Ninety at the same event, a tribute to its first full-faired bike and completion of company's 40 years in the two-wheeler world. The Concept Ninety with its retro styling and Café racer form, looks its part very much as a modern interpretation of an old theme.

Even when standing still, the Concept Roadster boasts an extremely aggressive stance with its minimal body panels and acutely designed rear tail-section. The bike looks an absolute street fighter loaded with all futuristic gadgetry while a sculpted exhaust muffler, LED headlight plate and triangular chassis frame which is finished in luminous blue tone adds to its appearance. Then its sliced rear tail section based on completely exposed brushed aluminum frame is adorned with a LED taillight and is one of the most prominent details of this concept motorcycle.

Propelling the BMW Concept Roadster is a 1170cc, twin-cylinder, boxer engine that produces 125PS at 7750 RPM and 125 Nm of torque at 6500 RPM. Drive gets transferred to the rear wheel via BMW's traditional shaft drive system. An engine spoiler has been installed on this new concept, which not only improves the aerodynamic ability but also houses the entire front section of the silencer.

BMW says that the Concept Roadster is an inspiration for its future boxer lineup, however it is uncertain whether the Concept Roadster will come into production or not.
