BMW F 850 RS is confirmed to get actually manufactured by BMW Motorrad - the German motorcycle manufacturer. The patent image surfaced online shows a production-spec design that resembles the 9Cento Concept showcased by BMW Motorrad back in May 2018 at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in Italy. 9Cento Concept has a head-turner design with amplified front profile and a sharp-docked tail. The patent image of the BMW F 850 RS looks quite similar to the 9Cento Concept, but it is high on practicality.

BMW Motorrad has filed the patent at Brazil's NIPI (National Institute of Industrial Property). The BMW F 850 GS is an off-road based tourer but the BMW F 850 RS will be a more tarmac friendly sports-tourer. This hints at the possibility of certain changes in the F 850 RS like - alloy wheels instead of the spoke wheels, more tarmac friendly rubber instead of the dual-purpose rubber seen on the F 850 GS.
As mentioned above, the BMW F 850 RS is expected to get its propulsion from the same mill that powers the F 850 GS. The BMW F 850 GS is powered by a parallel-twin 833 cc liquid-cooled motor that produces 85 bhp and 92 Nm of max torque. Well, it is obvious that the engine will be re-tuned keeping in mind the sports-tourer character of the BMW F 850 RS. BMW Motorrad might showcase the BMW F 850 RS in the 2019 EICMA scheduled to take place in November this year.
