BMW Motorrad is gearing up to launch the G310 GS adventure tourer in India. The bike was displayed at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo and now the bike has been spotted without camouflage on truck. As the spyshot suggests, two BMW G310 GS models were transported. The bike could launch in the country sometime in July this year.
Upcoming BMW G310 GS is based on the naked streetfighter G310R. Along with the chassis, the bike shares several components with the G310R. Also, the BMW G310 GS will be produced locally at TVS Motors’ plant in Hosur alongside the G310R. This adventure tourer is expected to be launched with pricing range of Rs 2.30 lakh - Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
BMW has been eyeing the premium segment of the Indian bike market for quite long time. Considering the fact that demands for premium bikes and adventure models are increasing in the country, BMW Motorrad is hopeful to see good response with the G310 GS. Thanks to the local production, BMW Motorrad will keep the pricing of the G310 GS competitive.
Power source for the BMW G310 GS is going to be a 313 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox. This engine will churn out 34 bhp of peak power at 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. Also expect it to generate impressive mileage.
