BMW Motorrad is finally going to launch the much awaited G310R and G310 GS models in India by the end of June 2018. The two bikes come sharing same platform and booking process for these two models is already on. Booking amount for the BMW G310R and BMW G310 GS is Rs 50,000 and it is completely refundable in case the buyer changes his or her mind.
While there is no official word regarding the delivery timing, dealers are claiming the customers will be able to take the delivery of the bikes within two weeks. Both the BMW G310R and the G310 GS have garnered pretty much interest from the buyers across the country and they are expected to be priced aggressively thanks to the local production at the TVS Motor’s Hosur plant.
BMW Motorrad revealed the G310R and the G310 GS to the world back in 2015 and 2016 respectively. Both the bikes are expected to be key models for the German premium bike brand in order to boost its sales and market stake here. While these bikes have been making headlines in India since 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, the reason behind the delay is the company wanted to make its sales and service network strong in the country.
Speaking about these two models, both of them share the same platform and same engine as well. The BMW G310R is a naked streetfighter, while the BMW G310 GS comes as an adventure focused bike. Both of them are loaded with advanced technologies and promise to deliver high level performance. Considering the fact that Indian customers, specially the young buyers are showing keen interest towards the premium bikes, these two models are expected to be popular within short span.
