BMW will be launching their performance based M3 sedan and M4 coupe duo tomorrow at the Budh International Circuit, Noida. Both the products belong to the high performance M division of the German luxury car manufacturer. Both these cars are expected to be sold via a CBU route and will come at a price range upwards of Rs 1 crore.
BMW M4 is the coupe version of the M3 sedan and will come on the same platform of the M3. Both the sedan and coupe version will get an all new 3.0 litre twin-turbocharged six-cylinder petrol engine that will produce a massive 431 bhp @ 5500-7300 rpm and a peak torque of 550 Nm @ 1850-5500 rpm. The power will be sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
BMW has made many mechanical changes to the new generation of M series cars and the most prominent among them is the use of lightweight material, that reduces the weight by almost 80 kg than the outgoing model. Also, the car is said to have 40 percent more torque, but on the contrary, has reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emission levels.
Once launched, the M duo will face the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and Audi RS 5 in the country.
Stay tuned for all the latest updates from the launch.
