The BMW M Division has introduced the M5 Pure Metal Silver Limited Edition at a sticker price of $130,900 (Around Rs. 88 Lakhs) for the US only. Only 50 units would be produced with deliveries starting August 2016. The company is also offering M Driver’s Package as standard with the sedan, which includes a unique 1-day high performance driving school. Additionally, the M Driver’s Package increases the vehicle’s top speed from 250kmph to 305kmph.
On the BMW M5 Pure Metal Silver Limited Edition, the standard Competiton Package has been enhanced to include 20-inch M light alloy wheels, M Performance Exhaust with carbon bezel and black M Performance Kidney grille. The German luxury automaker has also lowered down the vehicle by 0.4 inches and a firmer setup of the spring damper systems and stabilizers. An exclusive body color Pure Metal Silver, consistent of a unique BMW Individual paint layerring process embelishes this limited edition. The interior features full leather Merino with contrast stiching and aluminum interior trim embelished with the Pure Metal Silver M5 1/50 bage highlighting the unique and limited character of this special edition.
Inside the BMW M5 Pure Metal Silver Limited Edition, both driver and passenger sit in M multifunctional seats, which has the comprehensive electric adjustment feature. The standard features available are BMW Head-Up Display, Dynamic Stability Control, BMW Driving Assistant, Advanced Real-Time Traffic Information, Navigation System, Comfort Access Keyless Entry and Adaptive Full LED Lights amongst others. Under the bonnet, the sedan gets a 4.4L V8 BMW M TwinPower Turbo engine which generates 600bhp of top power and 700Nm. The power is upped by 40bhp, while the torque is increased by 22Nm as compared to the standard M5. The engine is linked to an M dual clutch automatic transmission featuring Drivelogic enabling sprints from 0-100kmph in just 3.9 seconds.
