BMW Motorrad becomes the first motorcycle manufacturer to introduce the Dynamic Brake light Technology into motorcycles. This technology is already available in cars but this is for the first time when motorcycles are equipped with this technology. It enhances the rider’s visibility on the road in times of hard braking. The video down below very well explains the concept of Dynamic Brake Light technology.

The Dynamic Brake Light Technology works in two stages; the first one comes into play when the motorcycle decelerates from over 50km/hr, the brake lights flashes at a rate of five on-off cycles (5Hz Frequency). The second stage occurs when motorcycle’s speed is reduced up to 15km/hr which result in automatic activation of hazard light until the motorcycle hit the speed of 20km/hr again. BMW Motorrad will provide the Dynamic Brake Light technology in tandem with ABS pro, an advanced system supporting the braking process while the motorcycle rolls into a corner. It will be offered as a standard in BMW Motorrad’s 2016 K1600GT, GTL and the Exclusive GTL motorcycles. Initially the package will be available only in the European market and its unknown when these models will be introduced to the international market.
