Give BMW a reason to celebrate and the German Autogiant will produce a limited edition or special edition model out of it. This moment was no different, with BMW unveiling the BMW M4 DTM Champion edition model to celebrate the win in the German Touring Car Championship popularly known as the DTM.
Immediately after the win, BMW announced the 23 unit limited car in a hurry. 23, being the number of the championship winning car driven by Marco Wittman. All 23 cars will come only in Alpine White, with matte black bonnets and rainbow stripes and a number 23 daubed on its doors. Buying the car will also get you a free track day event in which BMW instructors will teach the art of driving like a pro.
The car will also come equipped with the M Performance packages consisting of carbon fiber front spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser, mirrors and boot lid wing. The wheels will be a set of 19-inch wheels and the grille is also blacked-out and features orange surrounds.
On the engine front, the special edition will get the same M4's 425bhp twin-turbo straight-six engine and rear-drive chassis haven’t been touched. BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition benefits from an exclusive interior as well, featuring Alcantara-wrapped elements and carbon fiber inserts plus commemorative plaques and Wittman’s signature.
And what about Marco Wittman? Well the lucky chap not only managed to be in the limelight getting a car after his win, he is being hooked up with the Torro Rosso as the F1 test driver for the next season.
