2019 BMW S1000RR gets its propulsion from the same in-line four 999 CC motor but it has been tweaked to churn out more power than the previous model. The international-spec S1000RR produces 207 bhp of peak power at 13,500 rpm and a massive 113 NM of peak torque.  The power is delivered to the bike through a 6-speed gearbox which also gets an up/down quick-shifter that makes gear shifting buttery smooth without paying heed to the clutch lever and throttle modulation. It also gets BMW's renowned ShiftCam technology that provides the rider with an ample amount of power across the rev range.

Suspension duties are carried by the Italian Marzocchi suspension setup replacing the Sachs suspension components on the 2018 BMW S1000RR. The brand has also ditched the Brembo brakes on the bike and now the anchoring department is handled by Hayes. 2019 BMW S1000RR is equipped with a cornering ABS and traction control for modulating engine performance with respect to the riding surfaces. It also gets four riding modes to play with, namely - Dynamic, Road, Rain and Race. All of these ride assists can be accessed through a 6.5-inch digital display screen placed on the dashboard.

The 2019 BMW S1000RR has also ditched the asymmetric twin headlight unit and now gets an updated front facade that gives the bike a more sharp and aerodynamic look. The litre-class supersport has also lost some weight, specifically 11kg and it now weighs at 197 kg (Kerb Weight). The weight reduction is achieved by using a re-designed chassis and other lighter components. Internationally, the BMW S1000RR is available in three trims - standard, sport and M package. The updated 2019 BMW S1000RR will be priced a bit higher than the ongoing model which currently retails at Rs 19.18 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike will be up against the likes of Kawasaki ZX-10R, Ducati Panigale V4and Yamaha YZF-R1 in the Indian market.
