The alphabet M, never sounded so appealing if it is not rolling out from a BMW factory. The era of BMW M3 came to an end with the announcement of the new M4 by the German giant. With the new brand name, 4-Series, BMW has created a separate niche for the Coupe version of the 3-series sedan.

The M4, which made the first public appearance as a concept in August 2013, however, BMW never revealed any power figures or technical details. The M4 was just visible in pictures eve without revealing the interiors.

Later, in September, BMW moved a step ahead and announced that the M4 will be powered by the S55B30 engine tuned by the M division of the company. The engine would be a derivative of N55 engine, will have a displacement capacity of over 3 liter and a redlining limiter beyond 7500 rpm! The engine will receive turbo-charged power from the two mono-scroll turbochargers, which will boost the engine to produce a maximum power of 430 bhp, while the torque is rated at 500 Nm. Mated with 6-speed manual and an advanced 7-speed M-DCT transmission, the M4 would be one of the most fun-car of the M range vehicles.

The German car maker now released a video teaser for the 2014 M3 sedan and the M4 Coupe, which might be unveiled completely on the Gran Tourismo 6 on this Thursday. BMW M4 is one of the most anticipated cars and the car will finally make itself available to public somewhere around next year.

The BMW M4 would have an extensive use of Carbon fiber reinforced plastic, which will make the lighter and at the same time, will give the powerful car stronger body. BMW revealed that the M4 would not be heavier than 1500 kilogram and will have a killer power-to-weight ratio.
