BMW, the German luxury automaker, has revealed two customized editions of its high performance SUVs BMW X5 M and BMW X6 M. Being dubbed as 'Individual' editions, both the BMW X5 M Individual and BMW X6 M Individual come with a few cosmetic upgrades. These models are not expected to make their way to India and would only be sold in a few European nations and North America.
Talking about the cosmetic upgrades, both the Individual Edition vehicles feature special paintjobs. The X5 Individual flaunts a Pyrite Brown metallic paint with Xirallic pigments which makes some specific portions of the SUV look like a darker hue than the others. On the other hand, the X6 Individual adorns a Azurite Black metallic paint with blue shades. Inside the cabin, both the performance SUVs, BMW X5 Individual and BMW X6 Individual, boast white Merino leather upholstery with matching white Alcantara leather headliner. In addition, they have piano black inserts and a leather-wrapped dashboard with contrast stitching as well.
Coming to the engine specifications, both the special editions are powered by the same set of engines as the standard models. They in-house the same 4.4L, V8, twin-turbo powertrain which dishes out a maximum power of 564 bhp and top torque of 750Nm. They are paired with a 8-speed automatic transmission to maximize performance and efficiency. BMW unveiled the all-new performance versions of the X5 and X6 at the recently concluded 2014 Los Angeles Motor Show in form of X5 M and X6 M, respectively.
