While seasoned giants like Mercedes and Ferrari chose to complete 150 laps, Williams, running high on success chose only to complete 89 laps. Circuit de Catalunya witnessed the testing for three consecutive days with the third and final day done on super-soft tyres. Though, post-lunch, teams geared up for more rigorous and longer stints, preparing for opening race on 15th March in Australia.

Following Sebastian Vettel on second position was Sauber's Felipe Nasr, who finished third and completed 159 laps. While most of the people were looking upto the new McLaren-Honda partnership, they disappointed all of them and finished 8th on the tally. Jenson Button faced a sensor problem throughout the morning which made him complete 30 laps only.

Team Mercedes completed the most number of laps in all three days with Nico Rosberg covering 148 laps. Only four drivers were able to break the 100-lap mark during the chaotic afternoon. Meanwhile, Force India came out impressed with the car's performance, which made its debut on Friday after much of a delay.
