As we are all aware that scooter industry is on boom, slowly and steady scooter market has already overcame motorcycle market in the country when looking at the figures. Like we mentioned earlier Yamaha have already imported one of their premium scooter in the country for research and development purposes now Suzuki India is following the same path.
Recently Suzuki has imported one of their base models of super scooter Burgman, which is a 125cc scooter and is a killer in terms of its looks. Burgman is sold in the international market starting from 125cc extending up to 638cc. It was first introduced to the world in 1999 and in the same year it went on sale. If sold here in India, Burgman will be the first premium scooter to be sold by Suzuki here in India. It runs on a 125cc single cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns our near 11.8bhp at 2500 rpm and 11Nm of torque at 7000 rpm. The scooter weighs near 139kgs dry and its fuel economy figures are know at present. It is uncertain if Burgman 125 will be launched here or not but going on a positive way, if launched it might just help Suzuki to dethrone Honda Active as the largest selling scooter in Indian market.
