Carberry Motorcycles, the custom motorcycle, and engine maker has unveiled a 1000cc engine that has been made by infusing two 500 cc Royal Enfield UCEs (Unit Construction Engine). The developed engine has been built in the shape of a V-configuration and has an exclusive factory price of Rs. 4.96 lakhs. The company has also started taking bookings for the engine with the deposit amount being 50 per cent of the total price.
This new engine, produced by Carberry Motorcycles, is fed by two carburetors. As mentioned by the company, this joint 1,000 cc engine is meant for the existing homologated models, exports and for display purposes only. Also, this is the first engine that the company developed since the time the business was shifted to India.
Carberry Motorcycles claim that this 1,000cc V-twin engine will be good enough to make 52.92 bhp of highest power while making 82 Nm of torque. The company will also be following it up with an FI (fuel injection) version of the same engine. It will be produced at the company’s production facility in Bhilai in the state of Chattisgarh. The company has also stated that it will be delivered within 4-7 months from the date of booking.
Carberry Motorcycles shifted its business to India recently after the cost of operation in Australia surged. The company says that the cost of raw materials and the production cost has been rising at a rapid rate.
