Caterham cars have released the first official images of the a brand new limited edition of the Seven that has been designed by Caterham F1 Team’s driver, Kamui Kobayashi. The Limited Edition Seven Kamui Kobayashi will be restricted to only 10 units and will be sold exclusively, in Japan at Yen 6,000,000 or Rs 34.73 lakh approximately.
The single seat sportscar is based on the 125PS Seven 250R and is being powered with a Ford Sigma, 4-cylinder, 1.6-litre engine. The unit comes mated to a 6-Speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential that will enable the Seven to hit the 0 to 100 kmph mark in 5.9 seconds with a top speed of 196 kmph.
On the outside, the Limited Edition Seven features a high-gloss black paint combined with matte black stripes and green lacquer on the carbon fibre front and rear wings. The sportscar also features an aluminium tonneau cover along with 13-inch black wheels and a chrome exhaust.
On the inside, the sportscar features carbon fibre dashboard, which also carries the signature of Kamui Kobayashi in green lacquer. The seats of the Seven have been built from the same lightweight material and comes with green contrasting stitching. Other notable features include, an anodised green gear knob, bespoke gauge inlays, a special green key and green Takata four-point harness.
