Soon Chevrolet will unveil the sixth-generation version of its Camaro muscle car. This means the fifth generation Ford Mustang, which restored the Camaro name and outsold its cross-town rival on a regular basis - is on its way out. At 2014 SEMA Show in Las Vegas Chevrolet brought two limited editions to honour the Gen 5’s successes.
Camaro SS special edition
The Special Edition Camaro limited to the SS model and its 6.2-litre V8 will be offered in coupe and convertible. In addition to the exclusive Emerald Green Metallic exterior, the package includes, a “ground effects” body kit, a ZL1 rear spoiler and 21-inch chromed Dusk wheels, cyber gray rally stripes. All models will have a black interior with graphite silver door panel and instrument panel inserts.
The Camaro Commemorative Edition will be available on 2LT and 2SS coupes and convertibles, with either a standard 3.6-litre V6 or an optional 6.2-litre V8. The exterior package of the Commemorative Edition includes unique 20-inch wheels, exclusive stripe, body-colour front splitter, ZL1 rear spoiler, and Commemorative Edition fender emblems. The new adrenaline red interior is only offered on the Commemorative Edition. It also includes a leather-wrapped, flat-bottom steering wheel and Commemorative Edition sill plates.
