Chevrolet is preparing to launch the facelifted Cruze in China in the coming months. The new model recently got spied in the same market that boasts several cosmetic changes but retains similar interiors and powertrain options as the current model. The new model is likely to be showcased at the Beijing Motor Show next month and would reach the market post that.

Chevrolet has subtly updated the new Cruze which now looks more flamboyant. Reshaped headlights, a revised dual-piece grille divided by horizontal bar and a set of sharp character lines make the 2014 model looks more appealing. While, the front face of the new Cruze doesn't have many radical changes, the rear-end is completely redone with the licence plate now carried into the rear bumper, new tail-lamp units and a sporty finish to the rear boot lid.

As mentioned above, the cabin and powertrain will continue to be similar to the outgoing version. However, the company has already announced that a change of powertrain could come soon with the newly-developed 1.4-litre and 1.5 litre EcoTec engines along with the introduction of a dual-clutch transmission (Read full report here).
