Snapshot: Chevrolet has launched the Trailblazer SUV back in 2015, and it is brought in the country by the CBU(completely built unit) route, which made the SUV a bit costly. As a result of higher price tag, strictly average equipment levels, absence of a 4x4 variant, and better competitors like the Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner the big American SUV have never been able to take off in terms of sales figure.

Chevrolet has launched the Trailblazer SUV back in 2015, and it is brought in the country by the CBU(completely built unit) route, which made the SUV a bit costly. As a result of higher price tag, strictly average equipment levels, absence of a 4x4 variant, and better competitors like the Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner the big American SUV have never been able to take off in terms of sales figure. In past six months the company was able to sell only 28 units of the Trailblazer SUV.

Overall, the Trailblazer has failed to garner much interest among premium SUV buyers, while the new Endeavour has been met with much fan following. It sells around 500 units a month on average, compared to just 48 Trailblazers between January and August 2016. The drop in pricing could also improve the perception of value, especially with the Trailblazer missing out the all-wheel-drive system offered by its rivals.

By and large, the Trailblazer has neglected to accumulate much enthusiasm among premium SUV buyers, while the new Endeavor has been met with much fan following. It sells around 500 units a month on average, compared with only 48 Trailblazers amongst January and August 2016. The price drop could likewise enhance perception of value, particularly with the Trailblazer missing a very important feature which is the all-wheel-drive system.

The Trailblazer is available in India in only LTZ trim. The SUV is powered by a Duramax 2.8-liter engine that can produce 198bhp of power and 500nm of torque, and the engine is further connected to a 6 speed automatic transmission for good performance.
