Chevrolet India has announced the opening of new Technical Assistance Centre (TAC) at Talegaon in the country. This is the first time in India; GM has come out with a dedicated TAC function. The centre will assist all Chevrolet dealers across India to resolve customer product concerns fast and efficiently. Currently, a total of 10 people are dedicated to this operation at the time of starting.
Markus Sternberg, Vice President, Aftersales, GM India said, “Keeping customers at the center is one of the key values at Chevrolet. In line with this we have plans to further enhance our network and customer service experience. The launch of the Technical Assistance Centre is another step in this direction. We believe that the centre will assist all Chervrolet dealers across India to provide fast and effective support to their customers when addressing any product concern.” The Technical Assistance Centre aims to ensure service quality excellence by providing the best technical support to Chevrolet’s channel partners to make sure any product concern is resolved and Chevrolet dealers deliver the best in class customer experience.
With the launch of this centre, GM has also established a Single Point of Contact at each dealership: the Tech-E – or Technical Expert – who will ensure that any customer concern is resolved at the dealership - if required with the help of the TAC. The TAC helpdesk acts as a remote assistance centre and is further supported in the field by Chevrolet Field Service Engineers who are available to all dealers for on-site support. Chevrolet has always ensured satisfaction for their dealers and channel partners. In the recent JD Power Dealer Satisfaction Survey, Chevrolet saw an improvement of 64 index points over last year, and has been named the most improved nameplate in this year’s study for dealer satisfaction.
