Chevrolet India has finally launched the Trailblazer SUV at an introductory price of Rs. 26.40 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. The company has launched the SUV in a single range-topping LTZ variant with several high-end premium features. Just so you know, Chevrolet Trailblazer would lock horns with Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and Hyundai Santa Fe.
Chevrolet Trailblzer comes with best-in-segment wheelbase and ground clearance of 2845mm and 253mm, respectively. At the front, it gets projector headlamps, first-in-class projector fog lamps and dual port front grille. The SUV would be available in three paint schemes: Summit White, Black Sapphire and Switchblade Silver. The interior cabin is finished in premium dual-tone Athos Beige and Charcoal Black wraparound theme with leather bucket seats on offer as standard. As for features, the Trailblazer SUV comes with second row 60/40 split seats, fold-flat capability, folding armrests incorporated with cup holders, third row 50/50 split seats, etc. to name a few. In addition, there are as many as 32 storage compartments in the cabin, including a covered centre bin and a large dual glove box.
Chevrolet Trailblazer introduces the Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system in India, which comprises of a 7-inch color touchscreen with 6-speaker system. It also offers Bluetooth hands-free calling functions, music streaming, Aux-in and USB functions. For those wondering, the rear air-conditioning controls are located in the ceiling and include four vents for the second- and third-row seats. Talking about the safety features, the SUV comes loaded with an array of contemporary features like dual airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Cornering Brake Control (CBS), and Hill Start Assist (HSA), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Traction Control System (TCS), Panic Brake Assist (PBA) and Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA).
Under the hood, the Chevrolet Trailblazer has a 2.8L, 4-cylinder, second-generation Duramax turbocharged diesel engine. It develops a maximum power of 198bhp at 3600rpm and peak torque of 500Nm at 2000rpm. The aforementioned power output and torque performance figures makes it the most powerful SUV in its segment. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed automatic transmission, which transmits the power to the rear wheels of the SUV.
