Chevrolet India is all set to launch the Trailblazer SUV in the country this month. And, now the company has listed the SUV on its website, which indicates that the launch is imminent. The vehicle has already been spied on several occasions on the Indian roads as test mule. Just so you know, Chevrolet Trailblazer would be up against the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport.
The Trailblazer, like all its contemporaries, is a 7-seater SUV and measures 4878 mm in length, 1902 mm in width and 1834 mm in height. The SUV has a wheelbase of 2,870 mm, which clearly states that the cabin would have ample space. As for features, Chevrolet Trailblazer would come loaded with 7-inch My Link touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, automatic climate control, cruise control, dual front airbags, pre-tensioner seatbelts, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), electronic stability control (ESC), hill descent control (HDC), hill start assist (HSA) and reverse parking sensors and camera.
Under the hood, Chevrolet Trailblazer would have a 2.8L, 4-cylinder, Duramax turbocharged diesel engine. This engine would develop a maximum power of 197bhp and 500Nm of peak torque. It would be linked to a 6-speed automatic transmission, while power being transmitted to the rear wheels. Currently, there is no word on a possible 4X4 variant and manual gearbox. However, it is being learnt that the American automaker could introduce them later. Chevrolet Trailblazer would come with a sticker price of around Rs. 25 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom).
