Maruti, the leading automobile manufacturer of India, has revealed the sales figures for the month of November 2014, and like ever, they have posted an increase of 17% growth in the domestic sales, as against the 2013 numbers and a handsome 52.7% increase in the export market sales.
The credit for an increase in the sales figures can be given to the newly launched premium sedan from Maruti, the Ciaz and the all new Alto K10. Maruti was able to clock 100024 units in November 2014 as against 85510 units in November 2013, a rise of 17%. Ciaz, which replaced SX4, did a handsome 5232 units as against 200 units of SX4 in the same month last year.
Another interesting figure came in the form of Dzire Tour, a car meant for Taxi purposes only, which was able to do 1989 units, as against 604 units last year, a 229% hike. Vans/Minivans, surprisingly, managed to do 12203 units in November as against 8021 units of last year, a 52% increase. The most beloved segment, compact, posted a growth of 14%, touching 37339 units this year, as against 32804 of last year.
On the exports front, the company showed much potential by posting a 52.7% increase over the last year sales. Maruti was able to sell 10123 units, while they did 6630 units last year. The overall sales, inclusive of both domestic and exports, saw a tremendous growth of 19.5%, doing 110147 units in November 2014, as against 92140 units from the same period last year.
