And our favourite trio of automobile fanatics is back! Yes, after the heart-breaking news early this year that Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are leaving TopGear UK TV Series, the trio has confirmed to return in 2016. The trio will reunite for the new Amazon Prime show that will go on air in 2016, though, only for the Prime members.

Amazon today confirmed the return of the critically acclaimed and award winning trio of TV Hosts, who have inspired and entertained millions of automobile fans over the years, including us! The trio has signed a three-season deal with Amazon and the Prime show will be produced by the trio's long time executive producer Andy Wilman.

Jeremy Clarkson, as witty as ever, said - "I feel like I've climbed out of a bi-plane and into a spaceship," taking a jibe at the BBC. Things went south early this year when the reports came in that the Britisher had a verbal spat with the bosses at the BBC. And soon after, he confirmed to leave the show, he has been hosting for well over 20 years now.

Richard Hammond and James May followed their co-host out, after hosting the show with Clarkson for 13 years. Richard Hammond added to the Jermey's statement - "Amazon? Oh yes. I have already been there. I got bitten by a bullet ant." And James May said: "We have become part of the new age of smart TV. Ironic, isn't it?"

"Customers told us they wanted to see the team back on screen, and we are excited to make that happen," said Jay Marine, Vice President, Prime Video EU, Amazon. "Millions of Prime members are already enjoying our ground-breaking original shows. We can't wait to see what Jeremy, Richard, James and the team will create in what is sure to be one of the most globally anticipated shows of 2016."

While we are happy that the trio will be back soon entertaining the world, we already know that the iconic TopGear UK TV show will be hosted by Chris Evans from the coming season. And if this was not enough, reports are that the ace Formula One driver Jenson Button will join him as a co-host. Whatever happens, we can't wait to see what Clarkson will do outside of TopGear.
