Hyundai has been winning many prizes for its innovative technology, stylish design and its futuristic shapes in many motor shows all over the world. The company has now captured the award for its concept model ‘HCD-14 Genesis’ at the motor show held in the American city ‘Detroit’ in 2013. In this motor show the concept car was given two awards, ‘Concept Car of the Year’ and also, ‘Most Significant Concept of the Year’ award. This particular award is given to the Korean car manufacturing giant for having most ‘winning concepts’.
This award is given to the cars which are likely to bring in change in the manufacture of the automotives in the coming years. The jury decided that out of many entrants looked at the ‘Hyundai Genesis HCD 14’ is the best. This is the twelfth year ‘North American Concept Vehicle of the Year Awards’. The jury thought that this particular model introduced by Hyundai is worthy to get this prize. Hyundai has captured this award for the second time. In the year ‘2008’ the car manufacturers received this award for their ‘Genesis Coupe’.
One of the jurors has highlighted the features of this award winning concept car. He said the car has state of art technology, a very stylish design, has ‘controls’ which work on ‘3-D gesture’. Most of the concept cars do not keep in mind the fact that eventually these cars need to carry ‘passengers’. The ‘HCD 14’ has kept this idea in mind and have incorporated latest ‘infotainment’ system, the ability to connect ‘Smartphone’ and the technology which helps the driver to use gestures and ‘thumb’ to choose all the systems available in the car. The model competed with other famous models from Toyota and Honda. The jury were impressed by the design, new features which make driving easy and comfortable and hoped that the future models of ‘Genesis’ will have more impressive interior.
