Snapshot: At the special event of Wheels and Waves Festival, BMW showcased a special Concept Path 22 motorcycle based on retro surfers styling
BMW is known for the unique styling of their creations. We have witnessed some off the hook motorcycles from BMW such as R nineT, Concept90 Retro Racer and the most recent Concept 101 Custom Bagger. All these motorcycle have one thing in common, they look “alien made”. This time BMW took some of the retro, some of the classics and mixed it nicely with the old-school 1950’s surfers swag and they just came with a concept motorcycle named as “Concept Path 22”.
It is based on the R nineT and its styling is done keeping 1950’s surfers ideology in mind. The bike carries a twin-cylinder engine that is capable of delivering 110bhp of power. The picture shows a pair of surfboards mounted to a collapsible bracket on the side, the bike features single side swing arm, the massive front tire and old-school circular headlamp along with redesigned tank and studded tires. The cpaint job on the Concept Path 22 is done by Ornamental Conifer whereas the mounted surfboards are designed by Dyer Brand.
From press release “the Wheels & Waves Festival celebrates for the fourth time a unique meeting of custom bikes, surfing and art in Biarritz. The festival is a great event that provides a straightforward opportunity for people to get together in a unique atmosphere and express their lifestyle of freedom and individuality. In this special setting, BMW Motorrad presents the BMW interpretation of a scrambler for the first time: the BMW Concept Path 22”.
