Nurburgring has strong attractions for motor sports and racing. Recently Corvette Stingray by Chevrolet was found being tested here. It was on tests before a month prior to the sales in Europe.
Nurburgring is well known for the fine flowing racing tracks and it suited the purpose of Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The handling and ride characteristics with the suspension and steering set up used was on prime attention. The company is currently testing the car in Europe but it can further undergo testing in other different countries. The procedures used for testing were based on the GM Standard quality program. Chevrolet is in its efforts to make the Corvette Stingray the best car in the market.
The car was revealed at the 2013 Geneva motor show. The price of the car being $51.995 was unveiled at the same event.
Corvette Stingray has its core made of LT1 V8 6.2 liter engine that is capable of developing a power of 460bhp at the rate of 6,300rpm. It generates a maximum torque of 4600rpm. The car has a standard exhaust system certified to SAE. The car is expected to deliver an efficiency of 11kmpl on highway.
The newly designed LT1 engine delivers more torque and power with controlling the efficiency to a greater extent. In addition to this the weight of the car is low which helps to build more power as the torque builds up. The drivers will get a greater acceleration and power than the engines they have been driving before. The oiling system used has an oil spray cooling and has a dry sump oiling which gives efficient use of fuel.
The corvette is expected to be available in two colors blue and red. The body of the Corvette stingray is lighter as it is constructed using carbon material . The car will be available in hardtop and convertible versions.The innovative engine incorporated in the car is on great anticipation from the car lovers.
