Customization of a car is not new, and when a company like BMW launched something sorts of i8, they keep in mind that the customer gets his/her personalized from every inch and every corner. While some generally make minor changes, this particular owner of this particular BMW i8 did to his car, what looks like being straight out of a video game.
The i8 which was first showcased to the world in the movie Mission Impossible, comes with a matte black skin with a set of new custom 'Frozen Blue' rims. The blue color is also used to highlight the grille of i8, side skirts and rear. The rims are larger than the stock rims and measures 22×9 inches up front and 22×10.5 inches round the back. The interiors of the car are not visible, but the blue and black theme must have been carried inside too, to compliment the exteriors.
The BMW i8 is one of the most ambitious project from the BMW and the hybrid car is dubbed as 10 years ahead of its time. The car comes powered by a 1.5 litre three-cylinder twinpower turbo unit, producing 231 hp of power and an electric motor producing 131 hp of output. Combined, they both deliver an output of 362 hp, enabling i8 to complete 0-100 kmph in 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 250 kmph.
The BMW i8 will mark its India debut in 2015 and will be priced around Rs 1.5 crore. BMW has planned to set up special dealerships in Mumbai and Delhi to sell i8.
