Datsun India has just completed one year in the country and they celebrated the event by hosting the 'Datsun Drive-On'. Hosted in Delhi, the Datsun Drive was flagged off by Guillaume Sicard, President, Nissan India and Ayushmann Khurrana, Bollywood actor and brand ambassador for Datsun India and saw over 100 customers celebrate the event with Datsun.
Datsun also seized the moment to perform the CSR activities and celebrated the occasion with underprivileged children from 100 locations across India. The ‘Datsun Drive-On’ event will also be hosted across Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Cochin, Ahmedabad and Guwahati.
Guillaume Sicard seemed ecstatic about the event and said, “India was the first market to begin selling Datsun products after it was announced in 2012 that the brand would be reintroduced, and we are proud to celebrate this milestone in Datsun's history in India." The event also saw Ayushmann sing his songs live and a cake was cut with the children.
"Since then Datsun has had an encouraging year both in India – where our happy customers are a testimony to this – as well as other world markets. 'Datsun Drive-On' is our way of showing our strong commitment towards our customers. Both Datsun GO and GO+ have been received well in India and we look forward to adding more products to our portfolio in the future,” added Sicard.
Talking about his association Datsun, Ayushmann Khurrana said, “I am very proud to be associated with Datsun. It is a young and dynamic brand that resonates with my personality completely. It has been a great experience today to meet Datsun owners and get to know their experiences with their cars. This has strengthened my belief in the brand”.
Datsun marked their return last year in April with the launch of Go hatchback and has sold some 20000 cars since then. Datsun also launched the Go+ MPV a couple of months back and received good response from the market overall. Datsun will also a sub-Go hatchback within 15 months to complete the Datsun Go series.
