Datsun, the cost-effective brand of Nissan, delivered a record 310 units of redi-GO in a single day to customers across the state of Kerala in India. This milestone is the highest number of cars being delivered by a manufacturer in the state during the Chingam celebrations. Just a day back, Volkswagen too delivered a record 148 in the state of Kerala on the first day of Chingam. For those asking, Datsun redi-GO is priced at Rs. 2.43 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom, Kochi).

The redi-GO has been quite a sensational product for Datsun as it has managed to register over 12,000 bookings in the compact hatch segment, despite the dominance of Maruti Alto and Renault Kwid. Recently, the company also felicitated PV Sindhu, Sakshi Malik, and Dipa Karmakar by presenting a redi-GO to each one of them for their stellar performance at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Speaking of the redi-GO, it comes in five variants: D, A, T, T(O), and S. Being available in five body colour options – White, Silver, Grey, Ruby and Lime, the hatch has a best-in-segment ground clearance of 185mm. The company is offering five personalized kit options - Urban, Style, Kool, Easy Kit- enhance style and Easy Kit – premium style with the redi-GO. Powered by the all-new 0.8L 3-cylinder i-SAT petrol engine, it delivers a mileage of 25.17kmpl. The hatch touches the 100kmph mark from standstill in 15.9 seconds, while clocking a top speed of 140kmph.
