Honouring P.V. Sindhu - the ace shuttler and silver medalist at the Rio Olympics 2016, Datsun India gifted her the recently launched limited edition redi-GO SPORT. To mark the commencement of the festive season in the country, Datsun India introduced the redi-GO Sport few days back at a sticker price of Rs 3.49 lakh (Ex showroom, Delhi). Based on the range toping variant, it is available in three exterior paints – White Ruby and Grey.
On this occasion, during the hand over the car keys to P.V. Sindhu, Sanjeev Aggarwal, Vice-President, After Sales, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd., said, “Datsun has been encouraging the young achievers in India to work toward realising their dreams. On receiving the redi-GO Sport, PV Sindhu said, “I am excited to get the peppy-looking Datsun redi-GO SPORT. The design evokes a bold, can-do attitude and I am looking forward to driving the car. It will also enable me to move around for training and help me strive for further success in my sport.”
Speaking of the exterior, the redi-GO Sport comes with sporty and dynamic appearance with theme grille-red accents, wheel cover, sporty graphics, sporty roof and rear Spoiler and chrome exhaust finisher, while inside, the car is packed with sporty dashboard, all-black interiors, Audio System with Bluetooth connectivity, remote Keyless entry and Rear Parking Sensor.
Mechanically, it is powered by the same 0.8-litre three cylinder petrol unit that produces 53 bhp of maximum power with 72 Nm of top spin. The power unit is coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission that send drive to the front axle. Recently, Datsun announced Sakshi Malik as the brand ambassador of redi-GO Sport Edition.
