Being a budget car targeted primarily at first-time car buyers in the country, the base variant Go comes with the bare essentials. There are black bumpers instead of body coloured ones, manual wind-down windows and no power steering or air conditioning. The mid-level variant comes with an air-con unit conditioning and a decent two-speaker audio system with an aux-in compatibility. While the top-of-the-line variant offers all features of the mid variant and additionally get front power windows, electric power steering, body coloured bumpers, wheel covers, a gear shift guide, folding rear seat back, trip computer with a digital tachometer, tripmeter, distance-to-empty, and average and instantaneous fuel efficiency read-outs.
It’s been more than two decades since the Datsun name has been heard and the company really needs to work hard to build their brand image from scratch both in India and abroad. And the Datsun Go is their first step towards that!
