We earlier reported you that DC Avanti was seen at an Ahmedabad dealer outlet of the company completely undisguised and dealers also started accepting fresh bookings for the Desi-Supercar. Now, the official brochure of the Avanti is leaked ahead of its launch and it provides every technical information regarding this 2-seater sports car. The brochure reveals details about colors, interiors, features, dimensions and exteriors of the Avanti Supercar.
Dimensionally, the Avanti measures 4,550 mm, 1,965 mm, and 1,200 mm in length, width and height, respectively. It also has a decent wheelbase of 2,700 mm and a ground clearance of 170 mm. The first Indian Supercar flaunts 20-inch alloys with front tyre size being 255/35, while the rear tyres are much broader 295/30. Also, the company is facilitating the buyers by coordinating the color of the interior to the exterior paint shade. As for braking, it has disc brakes for all the wheels; while, ABS acts as a secondary braking system. DC Avanti boasts Bi-Xenon headlights and LED tail-lamps for better visibility and compliment its sports car appeal. The car is on offer with as many as 10 chic colors, which are listed in the image.
Under the hood, it has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, of which name is not mentioned; more likely, it is going to be a Ford EcoBoost motor. This motor generates a massive power output of 250 bhp and peak torque of 360Nm. The transmission duties are done by a 6-speed manual transmission, which powers the rear wheels of the Supercar. The body structure of the car is made up of carbon composite, while it underpins the spaceframe chassis with a roll cage. The weight of this Supercar is said to be around 1,580 kg.
The first set of 500 Avantis is already sold out and deliveries would commence from January 2015. The Supercar was being offered at a sticker price of Rs. 34.93 lakhs, but for the few initial customers. Now, it carries a price tag of around 38-40 Lakhs, quotes multiple dealers.
