The introductory EMR (Etios Motor Racing) Trophy was off to an exceptional start. The Etios driver Diljith won the 1st and the 3rd race while the 2nd race was won by Arjun Narendran. There were a total of 4 races held during the third crutch of the NRC (National Racing Championship) which took place in Chennai, Tamil Nadu last week. Four of those events were withdrawn due to profound downpour and protection apprehensions allied with it.
1st race of the opening Toyota EMR Trophy optically discerned EMR take to the National Racing Championship for the foremost moment. The 1st and 3rd race winner Diljith, started the race from the beginning of the grid and went on to win it on Friday, which made it the first win of the whole season. Right behind Diljith there was a fierce encounter between 3 young bloods, Abhinay Bikkani, Akhil Rabindra and Keith D’Souza . All the three drivers finished with less that a jiffy among them. With Akhil in the lead, followed by Abhinay and he was trailed by Kieth and they crossed the checkered flag in the same order.
The second race was one of the mainly enthralling events of that day, Arjun Narendan won his first race of the season, with the second place taken by Abhinay Bikkani and Varun Anekar took the 3rd spot. Race 1 winner Diljith came in 4th place, who was almost near to getting the 3rd right before colliding with Akhil Rabindra.
The 3rd race which was won by Diljith again, was in front of Abhinay and Akhil. As mentioned earlier he started in the front of the grid and maintained the same position till the end. But there was intense skirmishes on his tail for the 2nd and 3rd places. Four cars were grinding metal till Abhinay and Akhil took over from Kieth and Arjun to hold the two vacant spots.
All the 25 drivers of the EMR events will but-heads again in the 2nd run at the 5th strut of the NRC, that is scheduled to be held at the Buddh international circuit in Noida on the September of this month. The most excellent 3 drivers of the EMR will have an opportunity to compete out of the country at other events conducted by the Toyota group.
