The bookings for the upcoming Ducati sports tourer motorcycle, SuperSport, has commenced in the Indian market. The bike is set to be launched in two variants including the SuperSport and the SuperSport S. The Ducati dealers across the country are accepting the bookings at a token amount of Rs 1 lakhs in Delhi and Rs 2 lakhs in Mumbai.
The new SuperSport is the only sports tourer in the entire Ducati line-up. It shares the same engine as seen in the Ducati Hyperstrada series of bikes, which is the 937cc Testastretta L-twin engine. But for SuperSport, the engine has been tuned to match to the character of a sports tourer motorcycle.
Being a Ducati, SuperSport will pack the best of electronics which include 3-level ABS, triple riding modes, and traction control. Both the variants will be offered in two different suspension setups, as the base SuperSport will come with Marzocchi front forks while the SuperSport S will be offered with the premium Ohlins suspension units.
Ducati SuperSport will face off heat from motorcycles such as Kawasaki Ninja 1000 and Suzuki GSX-S1000F, and you can expect a price tag of at least Rs 12 Lakh when launched. Stay tuned for more updates.
