Ducati made a comeback in India this year and it came with a bang. Ducati not only launched their most affordable motorcycle ‘Scrambler’ in India but also inaugurated the world’s biggest Ducati dealership in Gurgaon. Currently Ducati is operating three world class showrooms in the country, located in Delhi, Gurgaon and in Mumbai and the company is looking forward to launch another dealership in Bangalore shortly.
Recently Ducati dealership in Mumbai delivered their 100th unit and it proves that Ducati is competing fiercely against the competition. While most of the sold units consisted of Scrambler and Diavel motorcycles. Interestingly Diavel is priced near 13.8lakhs ex-showroom and still Diavel is selling in an outrageous number, and so is Scrambler which is the most affordable Ducati you can buy. Scrambler is an urban endure sort of dual purpose motorcycle that can ridden in city, highways or rough terrains. While Diavel is a more of a hardcore cruiser motorcycle specially built for open highways. Scrambler is based on an 800cc, L-Twin, air-cooled engine which produces 74 PS of power and 68 Nm of torque. The Diavel on the other hand is positioned as a power cruiser in Ducati’s India portfolio and is powered by an 1198cc, L-Twin engine with 162 PS of power on tap and 130.5 Nm of torque. The current Indian Ducati line-up consists of Scrambler, Monster, Diavel, Panigale, HyperMotard, MultiStrada and the HyperStrada.
