The Italian Motorcycle maker is looking forward to unveil another fire cracker for the Indian market. According to a report on Auto.ndtv.com, Ducati India will be showcasing the new Panigale 959 at the upcoming India Bike Week which will be held on February 19th and 20th in Goa like every year. The new Panigale 959 is replacing the Panigale 899 which was long discontinued by Ducati India. The Panigale 959 was the second bestselling motorcycle from Ducati in India and contributed to one-third of the sales for the company.

The new Panigale 959 was first showcased at the EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan, Italy last year. The new Panigale is now closer to being called a litre-class motorcycle and comes more advanced electronics. Talking about the visuals, the new 959 derives the styling cues from the elder sibling 1299 Panigale as the front screen has been made taller and air-scoops are widened exactly like the elder Panigale. But it’s still not clear if the company will be showcasing the US-version of the Panigale 959 or the European version that comes with side mounted exhaust in order to comply with the Euro 4 emission norms.

Launch of the same is scheduled for mid-2016 and we expect the bike to be priced around INR 15-16 Lakh. Do let us know your views on the same in the comment section below.
