Ducati showcased the new 2015 stripe edition Monsters at the EICMA bike show in November last year. Recently Ducati announced the addition of stripe editions to the Monster family. The stripe editions are no different from their siblings in terms of mechanicals but only in visuals. These are available both on the 821 and the 1200 S Ducati Monster.
The new editions bike is wrapped in Ducati’s iconic red color scheme. A white racing stripe stretches from the starting of the front mud-guard to the rear of the passenger seat covering the fuel tank and adding visual streak to the already beautiful Monster. The engine of the Monster 821 stripe continues to hold the Hypermotard-sourced engine that churns out mad 112bhp at 9250rpm. On the front the bike comes equipped with the 43mm USD forks and fully adjustable Sachs suspensions at the rear. The braking of the Monster comes from a Dual 320mm discs with radial mount Brembo Monoholic Four-Piston calipers at the front while a 245mm disc, two-piston caliper set-up brakes at the rear rubber. The bike weighs near 205.47kgs wet and comes with adjustable seats. On the other hand the Monster 1200 S Stripe produces a healthy 145bhp at 8750rpm. The 1200 S weighs 5kgs heavier than its smaller sibling. While we drool over the Stripe edition Monsters, pricing of these motorcycles are yet to be announced by Ducati.
