It is turning out to be a Ducati day for us today it seems. Just a few hours ago we told you how Ducati is Teasing "This is Black" in a new campaign and also told you about the eminent arrival of a Ducati 959 Panigale for 2016 model range. Now news is coming in that in its endeavour to bring 9 new models as declared, DUcati is upgrading its Hypermotard line up for 2016, and this time around too, it has been disclosed from the CARB (California Air Resources Board) documents just like the 955cc Panigale report.
As per the filing there are three new Hypermotard/strada's coming, namely - the base model Hypermotard, the up-spec Hypermotard SP, and the touring-oriented Hyperstrada. However, not much is known about the bikes beyond this point though, but it is clear that these bikes have lower emissions due to their Euro 4 Compliance and the fact that all these three bikes will see a 937cc power plant playing with the trellis for 2016 model range.
This means that, alongwith the 959 Panigale, the new Diavel, these three Hypers take the total to 5 new bikes, what remains to be seen is what will come of the remaining 4 models as promised by Ducati, of which one is for sure the belt driven cruiser from Ducati which has been spied a number of times now. It will also be interesting to see what performance gains are made by the Hypermotard line up and the baby Panigale after getting engine displacement boosts.
