Ducati India has launched the Multistrada 1260 and Multistrada 1260 S at an introductory price of Rs 15.99 Lakhs and Rs 18.06 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Pan India), respectively, in the country. Bookings for the duo are now open and deliveries will start by end of June 2018 across all Ducati dealerships in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Kolkata & Chennai. The maintenance interval has been extended to every 30,000 kms with 'Desmo Service' and oil change at every 15,000 kms.

"Eight years of Multistrada innovation has led to the production of this masterpiece, directed to expand every adventure enthusiast's comfort zone with its versatility," said Sergi Canovas, Managing Director of Ducati India. Ducati Multistrada 1260 features an upright riding position and multiple riding modes, while the S variant comes with five Y-spoke wheels and a full LED headlight with Ducati Cornering Lights (DCL) functionality. The bikes also sport a Bluetooth module as standard, which activates the Ducati Multimedia System (DMS). The DMS connects the bike to a smartphone and functions such as receiving incoming calls, notification of text messages, or playing music via the handlebar controls.

The Multistrada 1260 range is geared with top-notch electronic features like Vehicle Hold Control (VHC) Bosch Cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), Cruise Control, Backlit handlebar switches, Ducati Multimedia System (DMS) amongst others. The bikes also comes with a new Hands-Free system for enhanced security. Mechanically, the motorcycle duo is powered by the Euro 4 1262 cc, Ducati Testastretta DVT (Desmodromic Variable Timing) engine which develops top power of 158bhp at 9750rpm and peak torque of 129Nm at 7500rpm. Controlling such power, delivery is made easy by the new Ride-by-Wire system ensuring smoother throttle control significantly improving the riding experience offered by the DQS (Ducati Quick Shift) Up & Down.
